Powder Brows in St. Petersburg, FL

Powder brows (also called ombré brows) give you a soft, makeup-like finish that looks filled in without harsh lines. The color is lighter at the front and gradually deepens toward the tail.

What Powder Brows Are

Powder brows (also called ombré brows) give you a soft, makeup-like finish that looks filled in without harsh lines. The color is lighter at the front and gradually deepens toward the tail, like you applied powder or a pencil. It is one of the three permanent makeup techniques KRIDO offers for brows.

The process implants pigment into the skin. Unlike microblading, which creates individual strokes, powder brows use tiny dots to build a gradient. The result looks like you just filled in your brows.

Powder brows last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. A touch-up 5 to 6 weeks after your main session keeps the shape and color where you want them. Annual refreshers help maintain vibrancy.

Who Powder Brows Suit

Powder brows work for most skin types, including oily skin. If you like the look of filled-in brows without the daily routine, this technique may suit you.

You must be 18 or older. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking certain medications or have active skin infections in the brow area, we review your health history at the consultation.

Powder Brows vs. Nano vs. Combo

Powder brows look like makeup. Nano brows mimic individual hairs. Combo brows blend hair strokes with shading.

Amber assesses your natural brows, your skin and your face shape, then chooses the technique with you. Powder brows create a soft, powdered finish. Nano brows give you crisp, hair-like strokes. Combo brows combine both for texture and definition.

If you want the look of a filled-in brow or you have oily skin, powder brows are often the best choice. If you want a more natural, feathered look, nano or combo may suit you better.

The Consultation and Session

You start with a consultation. Amber maps your brow shape, discusses the technique and quotes your price. The quote is confirmed at the consultation. Most clients need one main session and one touch-up 5 to 6 weeks later. In some cases a neutralization is needed first, so one or more extra sessions may be required.

A card holds your appointment. Once you book, the team calls to confirm whether you want just the consultation or a treatment too.

A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure or a mild scratching. You see your shape and color before any pigment is used.

Powder brows at KRIDO are $497. The final quote, including your touch-up plan, is confirmed at the consultation. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at booking, applied to your treatment.

I had a consultation at Krido Wellness and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Kristina, the owner, sat down with me beforehand to really talk through what I was looking for. She was so kind, thoughtful, and clearly knows her craft. I felt completely comfortable and confident walking out of there. I’m already booked to come back at the end of the month for permanent makeup and couldn’t be more excited. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who genuinely listens and cares about getting it right.

What to Expect After Your Session

The treated area may appear darker in the first few days. As your skin heals over 7 to 14 days, the color softens and settles into its true shade. Avoid picking, sweating heavily or getting the area wet during this time.

Most clients see a change after one session. The touch-up 5 to 6 weeks later perfects the shape and fills in any areas where pigment did not fully retain. Results vary by individual skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

5/5 Stars. KRIDO Wellness is awesome. I’d recommend them for facials, fat reduction/skin tightening for your body or face, and even permanent make up. Kristina, the owner, is absolutely incredible and truly cares so much about KRIDO, her team, and her clients. Both women and men would be happy they checked out KRIDO Wellness in Downtown St Pete.

Frequently asked questions

How long do powder brows last?

Powder brows typically last 1 to 3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. A touch-up 5 to 6 weeks after your main session keeps the color and shape where you want them. Annual refreshers help maintain vibrancy over time.

Does permanent makeup hurt?

Most clients experience minimal discomfort. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure. Sensitivity varies by person, but most describe the sensation as light pressure or a mild scratching feeling.

What is the difference between powder brows and microblading?

Powder brows create a soft, filled-in look using tiny dots of pigment. Microblading uses individual strokes. Powder brows look like you applied makeup. Nano brows at KRIDO create hair-like strokes, and combo brows blend both techniques.

How do I prepare for my powder brows appointment?

Avoid alcohol, blood thinners like aspirin or fish oil, and excessive sun exposure for at least 48 hours before your appointment. Come with a clean face. Bring a reference photo if you have one. Amber walks you through everything at the consultation.

Do I need a touch-up after powder brows?

Yes. Most clients need one main session and one touch-up, usually scheduled 5 to 6 weeks after the first appointment. It allows Amber to perfect the shape and fill in any areas where pigment did not fully retain. In some cases one or more extra sessions may be required.
