About Dermaplaning Facial

Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliation. A sterile blade is glided across the skin to lift away dead surface skin cells and fine vellus hair, often called peach fuzz.

Skin feels smoother straight away, skincare absorbs more easily and makeup goes on more evenly. Like every KRIDO facial, it is built on Circadia professional skincare and finished with red light therapy and lymphatic drainage massage.

Is it right for you?

Who it’s for

  • Dull skin that needs a brighter, smoother surface
  • Peach fuzz that catches makeup or powder
  • Anyone who wants makeup to sit more smoothly
  • A refresh before an event, with nothing to recover from

Your appointment

What happens in your session

  1. Your visit starts with a short skin consultation, so we can check dermaplaning suits your skin today.

  2. Your skin is cleansed and dried, then your esthetician holds the skin taut and uses light, careful strokes to remove dead skin and fine hair. It feels like gentle brushing.

  3. Circadia products chosen for your skin go on next, then red light therapy and lymphatic drainage massage finish the facial.

  4. If you have active breakouts, a skin infection or open wounds, or take medications that make your skin sensitive, tell us before booking. The team reviews your health history at the consultation.

What to expect

Results and how long they last

Smoother texture, a brighter look and easier makeup application are immediate. They are also temporary, because skin and fine hair keep renewing.

Fine hair does not grow back thicker or darker after dermaplaning. Removing it at the surface does not change the hair follicle.

For ongoing skin health we generally recommend a facial every 4 to 6 weeks. Your esthetician suggests what suits your skin.

After your visit

Aftercare

  • Freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to the sun, so wear sunscreen every day.
  • Keep skincare gentle for a couple of days and hold off on scrubs, acids and retinoids.
  • Your esthetician tells you before you leave if your skin needs anything else.

Dermaplaning FAQs

Will my hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?

No. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the surface, which does not change the hair follicle. It grows back the same soft texture and color.

What does dermaplaning do?

It removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Skin feels smoother, looks brighter, absorbs skincare more easily and makeup goes on more evenly.

How long do dermaplaning results last?

The smoothness is immediate but temporary, because skin and fine hair keep renewing. We generally recommend a facial every 4 to 6 weeks for ongoing skin health.

Is there downtime after dermaplaning?

Most people have none. Skin can look a little pink for a short time. Wear sunscreen, since freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to the sun.

How much is a dermaplaning facial at KRIDO Wellness?

A dermaplaning facial is $150, including red light therapy and lymphatic drainage massage.
