Brow Lamination Aftercare: The First 48 Hours and After

Keep laminated brows dry and untouched for 24 to 48 hours, then brush them into place and condition them daily so the shape lasts.

Brow Lamination Aftercare in Brief

For the first 24 to 48 hours after brow lamination, keep your brows dry, do not touch or rub them, and skip makeup, steam and heavy sweating. After that, brush them into shape every morning and use a light conditioning oil or serum. With that care, laminated brows at KRIDO typically last six to eight weeks.

Lamination works by softening the brow hairs and setting them in a new, lifted direction. For a day or two the hairs are still settling into that shape, which is why the first 48 hours matter most.

The First 24 to 48 Hours

  • Keep them dry. Avoid washing your face over the brows, long hot showers and steam. If you need to cleanse, work around the brows with a damp cloth.
  • No makeup on the brows. Skip brow gel, pencil and powder for now.
  • No sweating. Postpone hot yoga, intense workouts and saunas.
  • Hands off. Try not to rub, scratch or sleep face down on the brows.
  • Skip actives near the brows. Keep retinoids, acids and exfoliating products away from the brow area.

If the brows look very lifted or a little stiff on day one, that is normal. They usually relax into a softer shape within a couple of days.

Daily Care From Day 3

  • Brush every morning. A clean spoolie brushed upward and outward keeps the hairs in their new direction.
  • Condition the hairs. The lamination solution can leave hairs a little dry. A small amount of a nourishing brow oil or serum, applied as your brow artist recommends, keeps them soft and helps the shape look polished.
  • Be gentle with cleansing. Oil based makeup removers and harsh scrubs used directly on the brows can loosen the set faster.
  • Protect the tint. Brow lamination at KRIDO always includes a tint. Sun, chlorine and exfoliating products fade tint faster.

How Long Laminated Brows Last

At KRIDO, results typically last six to eight weeks with proper aftercare, depending on your natural hair growth cycle. As new hairs grow in at their natural angle, the lifted look softens gradually rather than disappearing overnight.

Most people rebook every six to eight weeks. Leaving time between sessions gives the hairs a rest, which is kinder than laminating very often.

Common Aftercare Mistakes

  • Washing the face over the brows the same night.
  • Going straight to the gym or a hot yoga class.
  • Brushing the brows down or sideways while they are still setting.
  • Laminating again before the previous result has grown out.

Signs of Irritation

Mild redness that settles within a day is common. If your skin stays red, itchy or swollen, or you notice a rash, contact your brow artist and a medical provider. Tell the team at your consultation if you have had reactions to hair dye, perms or lash lifts before, so they can check whether lamination suits you.

Yes, after the first 24 to 48 hours. A light brow oil or serum keeps the hairs soft and healthy. Ask your brow artist which one they recommend.
