CryoSkin Body Sculpting: Reduce Fat and Tighten Skin Without Surgery
CryoSkin body sculpting uses controlled cold therapy to reduce stubborn fat and tighten skin in targeted areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and glutes. At KRIDO Wellness in downtown St. Petersburg, every session follows a three-step protocol: cryo treatment, red light therapy and manual lymphatic drainage. You see results measured in inches, not guesswork. On average, clients lose 0.5 to 1 inch in the first session. Results vary by individual and build over a series of treatments.
This is body sculpting, not weight loss. CryoSkin refines shape and skin quality in areas that don’t respond well to diet or exercise. Many clients feel leaner and more defined even when their weight stays the same.
How CryoSkin Works: Thermal Shock, Red Light and Lymphatic Drainage
Each CryoSkin session begins with a brief warming phase to increase blood flow, followed by rapid cooling. This thermal shock is applied to the treated area. Over the following weeks, many clients notice continued improvement in the treated area.
After the cryo treatment, we apply red light therapy using wavelengths between 630 and 850 nanometers. Research suggests red light may support collagen production and improve circulation. The session ends with manual lymphatic drainage massage, which can temporarily reduce puffiness and fluid.
The full session takes about an hour. We measure your treatment area before and after, so progress is tracked in inches rather than impressions. You can return to your normal routine immediately. No downtime.

CryoSkin Slimming vs. CryoSkin Toning
CryoSkin offers two types of body treatments.
Cryo Body Sculpting (often searched as “cryo slimming”) uses thermal shock to reduce localized fat in areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms. It targets stubborn, pinchable fat that doesn’t respond to diet or exercise.
Your esthetician chooses the technique at your consultation: a slimming approach for stubborn fat, a toning approach for skin tightening and the look of cellulite, or both. Either way, you book Cryo Body Sculpting.
Cryo Body Sculpting is designed to reduce stubborn fat. In a small study by the device maker, ultrasound showed fat thickness dropped by about 19% on average after a course of treatment. Results vary from person to person.
The toning approach focuses on skin rather than fat reduction. Instead, it focuses on the appearance and feel of the skin. Controlled cooling is applied to the skin. Many clients notice improved skin firmness, smoothness and the appearance of cellulite.
Both treatments follow the same three-step protocol and take about an hour.
How CryoSkin Compares to Other Fat Reduction Options
| Option | How it works | Invasive | Downtime | Target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CryoSkin | Controlled cold therapy + red light + lymphatic drainage | No | None | Localized fat, skin tightening |
| CoolSculpting | Cryolipolysis with suction applicator | No | Minimal | Localized fat |
| Liposuction | Surgical fat removal | Yes | Weeks | Significant fat volume |
| Weight loss injections | Systemic metabolic change | No (injections) | Minimal | Overall weight loss |
CryoSkin is a cosmetic aesthetic technology, not a medical device. It is not FDA-approved or FDA-cleared. Unlike CoolSculpting, CryoSkin does not use pinching suction. Unlike liposuction, it requires no surgery or recovery time. Unlike weight loss injections, which work systemically and may affect volume and skin quality, CryoSkin works locally to refine specific areas while supporting skin firmness.
For medical treatments like liposuction or prescription injections, talk to a medical provider.
What to Expect at Your CryoSkin Consultation and First Session
Your first visit starts with a consultation. We measure your treatment area and discuss your goals. Then we perform your first body sculpting session.
The session begins with measurements. We record inches and shape so you can see real progress in the numbers, not just the mirror. Next comes the cryo treatment, applied to one area per session. You’ll feel alternating warmth and cold. Most clients find it comfortable and relaxing.
After cryo, we apply red light therapy. Research suggests red light may support collagen production. The session ends with manual lymphatic drainage massage, which can temporarily reduce puffiness and fluid and is often relaxing. Together, these steps create the KRIDO protocol many clients find relaxing and effective.
You pay for the session, starting at $299.
How Many CryoSkin Sessions Do You Need?
Many clients see a visible change after the first session. Results build with each treatment. Most clients see their best results over 5 to 10 sessions.
We typically recommend at least 3 sessions for subtle refinement. Five sessions create visible change. Ten sessions complete a full course for deeper fat reduction, improved skin firmness and more refined, consistent results.
Your plan will be personalized at your consultation based on your goals and the areas you want to treat. Questions about safety, downtime or how a session feels are answered in our cryotherapy FAQs.
