Red Light Therapy for Cellulite in St. Petersburg, FL

Research suggests red light therapy may support skin quality and collagen. At KRIDO it is included with Cryo Body Sculpting.

Does Red Light Therapy Help with Cellulite?

Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to reach cells under the skin. Small studies show it may help collagen and improve skin texture. For cellulite specifically, the evidence is limited and results vary. No treatment removes cellulite permanently, and what works best depends on your skin, genetics and how consistent you are with sessions.

Cellulite comes from the structure of fat and connective tissue under the skin, plus hormones and genetics. It is not a medical problem. It is extremely common in women, often cited at 80 to 90 percent after puberty. Some in-office treatments, such as certain energy-based devices, show modest, temporary improvement in research. Creams have weak evidence. Exercise strengthens muscle underneath but does not burn fat from one spot. Cellulite is stubborn, and honest expectations matter.

If you want to reduce the look of cellulite, talk to a medical provider about your options. Some medical practices offer laser, radiofrequency or injection treatments. KRIDO Wellness offers a non-invasive approach: Cryo Body Sculpting combined with red light therapy and lymphatic drainage.

How KRIDO Uses Red Light Therapy for Cellulite

At KRIDO Wellness in downtown St. Petersburg, red light therapy is included in every Cryo Body Sculpting session. It is not sold alone. The full session is a three-stage protocol: controlled cooling to the treatment area, red light therapy using Mito Red Light panels, and manual lymphatic drainage massage.

The red light step uses wavelengths between 630 and 850 nanometers. Research suggests these wavelengths may support the cells that produce collagen, improve circulation and help tissue repair. The theory is that red light acts on mitochondria in the cells, which may support collagen production and calm inflammation. Red light is applied right after the cooling phase.

The lymphatic drainage massage that follows can temporarily reduce puffiness and fluid. Together, the three steps are designed to improve skin firmness and the appearance of texture, including cellulite. Results depend on the number of sessions, the treatment area and how each person responds.

What a Cryo Body Sculpting Session Looks Like

You start with a consultation. Your esthetician looks at the areas you want to work on, takes measurements (in inches), and builds your plan. The consultation is included. You pay for the session.

The session itself takes about an hour. First is the controlled cooling treatment, applied to the skin. Most clients find it comfortable and relaxing, a mix of warmth and cold. Next is red light therapy under the Mito panels, which bathe the treated area in light. Finally, your esthetician performs a manual lymphatic drainage massage, which can temporarily reduce puffiness and fluid.

There is no downtime. You may look slightly flushed right after. You go back to your day.

How Many Sessions for Cellulite

Many clients notice smoother, tighter skin after the first session. For deeper change, most plans run five to ten sessions. Your esthetician recommends a course during your consultation based on your goals and the treatment area. Sessions are spaced according to the recommended schedule, and progress is tracked in inches at each visit.

Cryo Body Sculpting is designed to reduce stubborn fat and tighten skin in areas like the thighs, arms, stomach and buttocks. It is body sculpting, not weight loss. Many clients feel leaner and more defined even when their weight stays the same.

What to Expect After Each Session

For best results, avoid sugars and highly processed fats for at least two hours before your session, and avoid sugars and refined carbohydrates for two hours after. This is the studio’s own guidance. After your session, light movement such as walking or gentle exercise is encouraged.

Results build over the course of treatment. Skin may look firmer and smoother. Cellulite may be less visible. Results vary, and maintenance sessions help you hold what you gain.
