Powder Brows Before and After: Real Results, Real Clients

Powder brows give you soft, filled-in brows that look like makeup but last for years. See real before and after photos from KRIDO clients in St. Petersburg.

What Powder Brows Look Like Before and After

Powder brows create a soft, filled-in look that mimics the appearance of powder or pencil makeup. The result is fuller, more defined brows that fade gently from light at the front to slightly darker at the tail. Before treatment, you might have sparse brows, uneven color or gaps you fill in every day. After, you wake up with brows that are already shaped and shaded.

At KRIDO Wellness in downtown St. Petersburg, Amber Polacek, our permanent makeup expert, custom-maps each brow shape before any pigment is used. You see the design first, approve the shape and color, then move forward with the treatment.

How Powder Brows Work

Powder brows (also called ombré brows) are a form of permanent makeup. Amber uses a small machine to implant pigment into the upper layer of skin, creating hundreds of tiny dots that blend into a soft, powdered finish. The technique gives more coverage than hair-stroke brows alone, and it works especially well on oily skin or on clients who want a filled-in, makeup-like effect.

A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure or a mild scratching feeling.

The color looks darker in the first few days. As your skin heals over 7 to 14 days, the color softens and settles into its true shade. Avoid picking, sweating heavily or getting the area wet during this time.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Every permanent makeup client at KRIDO starts with a mapping consultation. Amber assesses your natural brows, skin type and face shape. She maps your ideal brow shape directly on your skin so you can see the shape before any pigment is used. You choose the technique together: powder/ombré, combo (powder plus hair strokes) or nano brows (all hair strokes).

The final price and your touch-up plan are confirmed at the consultation. Once you book, the studio calls to confirm whether you want just the consultation or a treatment session that same day.

Most clients need one main session and one touch-up 5 to 6 weeks later. In some cases a color correction or neutralization is needed first, which adds one or more sessions. Amber explains your plan before you commit.

Powder/ombré brows are $497. The touch-up plan and final quote are set at your consultation.

Real Before and After Results

KRIDO shares unedited before and after photos of real clients. Results depend on your natural brow shape, skin type and how well you follow aftercare. Individual results vary. Photos are of real KRIDO Wellness clients and are not retouched.

You can see examples on the studio’s before and afters page.

I had a consultation at Krido Wellness and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Kristina, the owner, sat down with me beforehand to really talk through what I was looking for. She was so kind, thoughtful, and clearly knows her craft. I felt completely comfortable and confident walking out of there. I’m already booked to come back at the end of the month for permanent makeup and couldn’t be more excited. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who genuinely listens and cares about getting it right.

5/5 Stars. KRIDO Wellness is awesome. I’d recommend them for facials, fat reduction/skin tightening for your body or face, and even permanent make up. Kristina, the owner, is absolutely incredible and truly cares so much about KRIDO, her team, and her clients. Both women and men would be happy they checked out KRIDO Wellness in Downtown St Pete.

How Long Powder Brows Last

Permanent makeup is semi-permanent. Results typically last 1 to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Oily skin, sun exposure and the use of exfoliating products can cause the pigment to fade faster. Annual refreshers help maintain the color and shape over time.

Who Powder Brows Are Best For

Powder brows work well if you want a filled-in, defined look that resembles makeup. They suit many skin types, including oily skin where hair-stroke techniques can blur over time. They are a good choice if you have very sparse brows, gaps or uneven color.

You must be 18 or older. Avoid alcohol and excessive sun exposure for at least 48 hours before your appointment, and skip optional blood thinners like aspirin or fish oil. If a doctor prescribed a blood thinner, do not stop it; tell the team at your consultation. Come with a clean face and bring a reference photo if you have one.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area, or are on certain medications, the treatment may not be appropriate. The team reviews your health history at the consultation.

Powder Brows vs. Other Techniques

Amber offers three brow techniques:

  • Powder/ombré ($497): soft, filled-in, makeup-like finish. Best for clients who want coverage and definition.
  • Combo ($597): powder shading plus hair strokes at the front for a more textured, natural look.
  • Nano brows ($697): all hair strokes, very fine and realistic, mimicking individual brow hairs.

Which technique suits you depends on your natural brow hair, skin type and the look you want. Amber walks you through the options at your consultation.

After Your Powder Brow Treatment

The treated area may look darker or more intense in the first few days. This is normal. As your skin heals, the color softens and settles. Do not pick at the area, sweat heavily or get it wet for 7 to 14 days.

Most clients return 5 to 6 weeks later for a touch-up. This allows Amber to perfect the shape, fill in any spots where pigment did not fully retain and make sure you are completely happy with the result.
